IDX has partnered with Panasonic Broadcast & Television Company in designing a high-capacity battery that employs secured communication technology and works with specific Panasonic™ camcorders in the AG-HMC150 and AG-HMC70 series. The battery’s ‘secured’ interface between the battery and camcorder allows optimized operation and an accurate, analog battery level can be displayed in these camcorders’ viewfinders. 3 LED push-button power indicator on the front of the battery provides the operator with an accurate level of power remaining. Protection circuitry found in our larger batteries for over-charge, over-discharge and over-load are also found in the SSL-VBG50.

Expanding the support of Panasonic professional camcorders, the SL-VBD50 has been developed to power Panasonic models AG-HPX170, AG-DVX100 series and AG-HVX200. At a capacity of 5000mAh, the SL-VBD50 typically provides approximately 3.5 hours of power to the AG-DVX100 series and 2.5 hours for the AG-HPX170 and AG-HVX200. Battery capacity is displayed via a built-in 3-LED power indicator and remaining capacity can be easily checked at any time by pressing the check button located on the top of the battery. IDX's signature safety features are also included with battery protection circuitry for over-charge, over-discharge and over-current. Recharge the SL-VBD50 using the dual charger LC-VWP and, like all other IDX Lithium Ion battery models, this product can be recycled.

The LC-VWP is a quick-charge, dual channel charger that simultaneously refreshes two SSL-VBG50 batteries at the same time. This charger also has planned compatibility for future IDX 7.4V batteries with secured and non-secured technology being developed in cooperation with Panasonic™.
